Terms of service
The agreement between you and Good N Service LTD for our website design, hosting and related services, including our acceptable use rules.
On this page
The short version
Pay monthly or yearly and cancel any time. The website we build is yours once you’ve paid $87 in total. Use our services for lawful business websites and email only.
1. Who we are
This website and the services on it are provided by Good N Service LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17490512, whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. You can reach us any time by live chat or at [email protected].
“You” means the person or business that opens an account or asks us to build a website. “Services” means website design, WordPress hosting, email, domain registration and anything else we supply to you.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By placing an order, paying an invoice or using any of our services, you accept these terms, our privacy policy and our refund policy. Together they form the whole agreement between us. If you do not accept them, please do not use the services.
If you order on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
3. Your account
- Give us accurate contact details and a working email address, and keep them up to date. Important notices, including renewal and suspension notices, go to that address.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by anyone you give access to.
- Keep your passwords secure and tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.
4. The plan, prices and payment
- Our hosting plan, WordPress Complete, and what it includes are described on the WordPress Hosting page.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax or VAT. Where tax applies, it is added at checkout and shown on your invoice.
- The plan is billed in advance, either monthly or yearly. Services start once payment has cleared.
- We accept card and cryptocurrency payments. Cryptocurrency payments are final once confirmed on the network.
- Your plan renews at the same price you signed up at, for the same billing period, unless we tell you of a change at least 30 days before your renewal date.
5. Renewals and cancellation
- Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period so your site stays online. We email you before each renewal.
- You can cancel any time by live chat or email. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then does not renew.
- Payments are not refundable once your hosting is active, as set out in the refund policy.
6. Missed payments
If an invoice is unpaid, we remind you by email. We will not suspend your site for at least 7 days after the due date. If it is still unpaid after that, we may suspend the service, and we may delete the account and its data 30 days after suspension. We keep your backups during that time so the account can be restored once you pay.
7. Your free website
- We design and build a website of up to eight pages at no charge and show it to you on a demo link. You do not have to pay anything to see it.
- Before launch, two rounds of changes to the demo are included.
- The demo link stays available for up to 14 days while you decide. If you choose not to go ahead, we remove the demo and the design stays with us.
- When you choose WordPress Complete, we publish the site on your domain and remove the demo. From then on, changes are made directly on your live site.
- The design, layout and text we create for your website become yours once you’ve paid $87 in total: after 3 monthly payments, or straight away on the yearly plan. Until then, you may use them on your website while we host it. Logos, photos and text you send us remain yours throughout, and you confirm you have the right to use anything you send.
- If you would rather host the website elsewhere, you can buy it for a one-time payment of $87 instead of ordering a plan. Once the payment has cleared, we send you a full copy of its files and database to install on your own hosting, which must support WordPress. Hosting, email, change requests and support after delivery are not included.
- A payment reversed through a dispute with your bank or card company does not count as paid, and your right to use the design ends.
- Your WordPress login lets you edit your pages, text and photos, and we look after the hosting control panel for you. Once the website is yours, we give you full WordPress administrator access and a control panel login on request. A website you moved to us from another host is yours throughout, and you can have both at any time.
- Premium plugins and themes we add are included while you host with us, and we keep them updated. They are not part of a website copy or export; you can buy your own licences.
- Extra pages, a redesign or features beyond a business website are quoted in writing first, and nothing is charged without your approval.
8. Monthly change requests
While your plan is active, you can send up to three change requests a month. A change request is an update to your existing pages, such as new text, new photos, updated prices or opening hours, or a small layout adjustment. Unused requests do not carry over to the next month. New pages, new features or a redesign are quoted separately.
9. Free domain on the yearly plan
- New yearly plans include one new .com, .net or .org domain, free for the first year.
- Premium-priced names, other extensions, renewals and domain transfers are not included, but we can register or renew them for you at their normal price.
- After the first year, the domain renews at its normal yearly price unless you tell us not to renew it.
- The domain is registered in your name. Registry rules may prevent a new domain from moving to another registrar for 60 days after registration.
- Domain fees are not refundable once the domain has been registered or renewed.
10. Acceptable use
Our services are for business websites and business email. If what you are doing would be fine on any reputable host, it is fine here. These rules protect every customer on our network.
Content that is not allowed
You may not use our services to store, publish, link to or send:
- Anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else’s copyright, trade mark or other rights.
- Child sexual abuse material. We report it to the authorities and terminate the account immediately, without notice or refund.
- Material that incites violence or hatred, or that harasses, threatens or defames anyone.
- Malware, phishing pages, fake login screens, or sites impersonating a bank, a government body, a company or a person.
- Fraudulent schemes, fake shops, stolen financial or account data.
- Pirated software, cracked or “nulled” themes and plugins, or media you do not have the rights to distribute.
- Sexually explicit material, or content involving anyone who is or appears to be under 18.
- Unlicensed pharmacies or gambling, or the sale of controlled substances or weapons.
- Do not send unsolicited bulk email from our servers, or advertise a site we host in unsolicited email.
- Only email people who gave you their address for that purpose. Do not use bought, rented or scraped lists.
- Marketing emails must identify you and include a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes must be honoured promptly.
- Do not forge headers or disguise where a message came from.
- Stay within the hourly sending limit on your account. For newsletters, use a dedicated mailing service.
Network and system use
- Do not scan, probe or try to break into any system, ours or anyone else’s.
- Do not take part in denial of service attacks, or run anything that helps them.
- Do not try to access another customer’s account, files or data.
- Do not run proxies, VPNs, Tor nodes, cryptocurrency mining, peer-to-peer file sharing, game servers or media streaming servers.
- Do not use your account as general file storage or a download mirror unrelated to your website.
11. Fair use of resources
Your plan includes 20 GB of storage, unmetered traffic and unlimited email accounts for a normal business website. “Unmetered” and “unlimited” are subject to fair use: they do not cover activity that would affect other customers, such as file hosting, heavy scripts that run constantly, or bulk email.
If your use goes well beyond what a business website needs, we will contact you to discuss options before taking any action, unless it is actively affecting other customers.
12. Backups
We back up your site every day and keep 30 days of backups, stored separately from your website. On-demand backups and restores are free.
Backups exist so we can recover from problems quickly. We do not guarantee that a particular backup will be available or complete, and we recommend you keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Ask and we will send you a copy of your email and of anything you sent us at any time, and a full copy of your website once it is yours (see section 7).
13. Availability and support
- We monitor every site 24/7 and work to keep the services available at all times, but we cannot promise they will never be interrupted.
- We may carry out maintenance that briefly interrupts a service. Where we can plan it, we give notice and choose a quiet time.
- Support is available 24/7 by live chat and email, in English. It covers your website, hosting, email, domain, SSL and backups. It does not include building new features or custom code, which we can quote for separately.
14. Security on your side
- Use strong, unique passwords, and remove access for people who no longer need it.
- Do not install themes or plugins from untrusted sources. Pirated or “nulled” software often contains malware and is not allowed.
- Tell us promptly if you think your site or account has been compromised.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end a service immediately, without refund, if you seriously breach section 10, if your account is used to attack or defraud others, if content on it is illegal, or if the law requires it. Where a problem can be fixed, we will tell you what is wrong and give you a reasonable chance to fix it first.
How we respond depends on what has happened:
| Situation | What we do |
|---|---|
| Accidental breach, no harm done | We contact you and explain what needs to change. |
| Hacked site sending spam | We stop the outgoing mail, tell you, and clean it up. |
| Use affecting other customers | We limit the account and contact you the same day. |
| Deliberate spam, fraud or attacks | Immediate suspension, without refund. |
| Illegal content | Immediate removal and termination, and a report to the authorities where the law requires it. |
If you dispute a payment with your bank or card company, we may suspend the services until the dispute is resolved.
We may also withdraw a service by giving you 30 days’ notice. In that case we refund the unused part of what you have paid, give you a free full export of your website, and help you move elsewhere.
16. Reporting abuse
If you believe something we host breaks these rules, email [email protected] with the address of the page and a short description. For email abuse, include the full message headers. We investigate every report.
17. If you leave
You can cancel at any time (see section 5). When you leave:
- Your email and domain are always yours. On request we export your email free of charge and help point your domain at your new host.
- A website we built for you: once it is yours (see section 7), we provide a full export of its files and database free of charge. If you leave before then and want to take it with you, pay the difference up to $87, and we send the export once that payment clears. Otherwise the website is removed when your plan ends.
- A website you moved to us from another host is yours throughout, and we export it free of charge whenever you ask.
There are no cancellation fees.
18. Our liability
- We provide the services with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise they will be uninterrupted, error-free or immune to attack.
- We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill, or loss of data you have not kept your own copy of.
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in that period.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
19. Data protection
We handle personal data as described in our privacy policy. Where we process personal data that you control, such as your website visitors or your email, we do so only on your instructions and only to provide the service. If you need a data processing agreement, ask and we will send one.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to our services or the law. We will publish the new version here with a new date. If a change affects you materially, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
21. Other terms
- You may not transfer your account to someone else without our written agreement. We may transfer this agreement if our business is reorganised or sold, without reducing your rights.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
22. Disputes
Please talk to us first. Almost every problem is solved faster by live chat or email than through a formal process.
23. Contact
